During this session, I focus on listening to your concerns, asking questions to help clarify the aims you have for your health, and creating a personalized yoga practice that moves you toward those intentions.
Your personalized yoga plan is woven together from an array of yogic tools, including movement and specific yoga postures, breath practices, adjustments to your current routine/lifestyle, meditation, and reflective self-inquiry.
I write out your yoga wellness plan so you can practice at home and make recommendations to local teachers and classes if your plan includes a studio practice, and I refer you to local health care providers as appropriate. This consultation can be a stand-alone appointment, or you may decide to schedule additional therapeutic sessions as needed.

Yoga therapy sessions begin with grounding practices to help you turn inward and identify your intentions for our time together. I then use tailored movement, breathing practices, restorative and assisted yoga postures, deep and reflective listening, guided self-inquiry, meditation, and other tools to address your needs.

The approaches I use are most effective when practiced over a period of time, so I created a monthly yoga therapy series to make it easy to commit to self-care with a deep discount on therapeutic sessions and group classes at Ease Mountain Yoga. Your first package includes your 90-minute intake session.
I specialize in working with people who are living with low moods, depression, anxiety, grief, traumatic loss, and significant life transitions.
Each month, we schedule two individual therapeutic sessions and you receive a pass to take up to 10 classes at Ease Mountain Yoga & Nourishing Arts per month.
