I have waiting list for individual classes that use yogic principles & my background as a mental health professional to help people living with low moods. You can click here to contact me directly to be contacted when there is a space available.
I studied to become a yoga teacher with Mark Stephens at both the 200 and 500 hour level. I am the founder and owner of Ease Mountain Yoga & Nourishing Arts in Ben Lomond, California and am registered with Yoga Alliance as an experienced yoga teacher, or E-RYT. I am certified as a yoga therapist by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT).
I completed my undergraduate studies at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. I have an MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles and a Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology from Sofia University in Palo Alto, California.
My first encounter with yoga was in the 70s, watching Lilias Folan on PBS. I would encourage my mom to join me in front of the television set and shared what I learned with other children at school during recess. A seed was planted then that blossomed into a formal practice that has sustained me into adulthood.
I lived in Los Angeles for 17 years before moving to Santa Cruz, and had the great pleasure of taking classes with an array of really talented teachers. Making the decision to become a teacher myself is the fulfillment of an impulse that began on a playground many years ago. I have a strong interest in the impact that yoga has on emotional health, in particular how it is helpful to people who are managing chronic low moods."
